New Friends

As I have been going through Fall into Fall Quilt blog give a way I have meet some new friends.  It ends on the 15th but there were close to 150 different blogs to go to and sign up on anything that interest you.  Next year I might enter.  It's always nice to meet new friends.  I haven't gotten them all on my blog roll yet.  But I do have
then book marked so I can go back  and look at them again before I add them.

I have been quilting  throws.  I have one that I need to put together now.  I have it all pieced, reading to lay out the lining and filling.   Need my husband to help me with that.  It is so much easier with two people.

Just a verse or two to leave with you today.

Psalm 63: 1-4
"Oh God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, to where no water is.
To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
Because thy loving kindness is better than life,  my lips shall praise thee.
Thus will I bless thee while I live; I will lift up my hands in thy name.

I love your verses. My sister is the quilter in my family and tells me that quilting groups are so warm and friendly. I hope the Lord connects you with just the right quilters to inspire and uplift you because I know that you will be ablessing to them.

You know, Aliene, I've always loved quilts; they are beautiful pieces of handiwork. I don't know how to quilt or sew, but I do hope one day to be able to learn. I'd especially love to learn to make some of those patterns that are so popular from the Amish people; gorgeous quilts, but so expensive... I hope you'll post pictures sometime of the quilts you've completed. :o)

P.S. Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog. Congratulations on almost 52 years of marriage -- that is WONDERFUL! It is getting harder to find couples who have been married so long anymore, but what a lovely testimony you all have. :o)
