Report on Logan

For those who commented that they were praying for Logan ~ here is the latest.  The stent has been shut off because the swelling has gone down.  Also, the doctor is gradually reducing the amount of coma induced medication for him to wake up.  Seems that is a good report ~ although he is still considered critical.  You four , please keep praying for him and his family.

Question!  Does it seem that more and more bloggers are not commenting or is it just me?  I see where others passed by but did not say they were praying.  Seems so many have gone to facebook.  I will not join face book because of so much gossip.
I know that I have not posted as much as usual but I honestly have not felt up to it.  We are at a crisis in our life that we have a decision to make.  It is not easy.  No, it has nothing to do with church.  We love our church and our people.  The Lord is still blessing and we have a lot to be thankful for.

I would ask that you pray for us ~but there seem to be so many needs that are far more serious.  May God bless you!

Urgent Prayer Request

"The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

I am asking prayer for  a young child in our church.
His name is Logan Watts. He is six years old and loves the Lord.  Jonathan and Britany have three children but Logan is the oldest.  Last Saturday the family had gone to a park and were playing with the children.  Jonathan was swinging Logan and Logan turned lose and fell on his head.  It was not a  long way to the ground but it was the way that he hit the ground.  He has a crack from center and parallel down the back of the head.  The doctors had to put in a shunt to drain the fluid.  He has been in a induced coma for almost a week.  His chances are 50-50.

A lot of times we take life so lightly.  We get up and go about our duties not thinking of what the day may hold.  We just take things for granted.  But God knows and He does care.  These parents are
such a blessing.  They are just trusting God to heal Logan, but if
not, Gods will be done.  Jonathan has been called to preach and he is already telling things he has learned out of this so far.
Getting ready for his next sermon!

We  ask that if you read this that you will pray for Logan.  Not just a one time prayer which we are guilty of doing sometimes, but pray
fervently.  Suppose it was your child?  I know the parent's could use your prayers, also.  Our God is able.

My husband is an usher and is usually at the front door greeting or shaking hands.  Logan came up to him several weeks back and ask for a track. Silas ask Logan what he was going to do with it.  Logan said he was going "to witness."  The next service he told my Silas that he hadn't seen any one to witness to yet, but he would.  He was always talking about witnessing for the Lord.  He does not know it but his life is witnessing already.

"Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say  unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these."  Matthew 6:28

Our Easter Lilies are in full bloom.  When my Sister moved from Mississippi she me gave some bulbs she had  in pots.  Silas stuck them in the ground and they all came up.  A five foot row.

This rose was a bush she had.  I got a couple pieces and he stuck them in the ground.  It rooted and made a beautiful little bulb then open up.  It is really more pink then white.  He has other roses and different plants he has rooted.

Our little  chicks are growing.  We have about sixteen.  I am anxious to see how long before we get the first egg.  They are fun to watch.

Have a blessed week end..
