MY LATEST QUILTING

This is my latest quilt throw for my great grandaughter for Christmas.

I decided to quilt it by machine.  I don't have or know all the fancy stitching or names for quilting.  I used a double needle that I have not used since my daughters were little girls.  It was a lot of fun and came out cute.  I used a purple thread on one side and white on the other side.  (The two needles)

I have another one made for her brother.  Now I need to get started on one that will be a Fluer de Le design.  All these are just home made patterns.  I am going to do a real pattern after these are done.
I think quilting is addicted.  I never thought I swould like it.
If you have always wanted to try and it looked like too much work, but it is really fun.  Give it a try.  What do you have to lose?

Always, Aliene

Are any of you not getting the pictures or graphics on blogs at Mozilla Firefox?  If there is not a picture of the quilt please let me know.  Thanks!

The quilt is beautiful Aliene! I love quilts, but think I'll leave the quilting to others.

I use Firefox Aliene and I see the photos just fine. You did a beautiful work on this one. The colors are so nice! Every time I see these I wish I had more time to get busy and make a few quilts too. Hmmm... Maybe one of these days.
Hugs and blessings,
Deb

Aliene, I see you pictures just fine (I'm on firefox).

I have always admired these quilts, but have never ventured to make one myself. There is a tremendous amount of work involved in making them, but they sure look worth it!

I am just not a very patient person as far as sewing is concerned, unlike my dear mother who was a dressmaker, before she went to be with the Lord.

I am sure your grandchildren and whoever you make these for, will be so so blessed to receive one!

God bless you dear sister...

She will love it! I'm glad you have learned to enjoy making quilts. Wish I could get started on one, or several. Maybe someday there won't be something else calling louder
