I was having a time trying to get a picture on here. This is not the one I was looking for but what came up. So maybe I need to look at a few things I am thankful for.
1. I am a Child of God.
2. A good church to go to.
3. A faithful pastor.
4. A wonderful husband (don't tell him)
5. The Bible, my road map.
6. Good friends, online and off.
7. A good Home to live in.
8. Many, many more things.
Which brings me to what I was going to blog about! A good home that I need to keep clean. I thought I had better get some of the dust bunnies cleaned up today. Not my favorite job, but needful, nevertheless. (I am thankful for even the dust bunnies.) Which means I have a place for them to visit. Which room in your home seems to be the one that gets messed up the worse and most? It seems to be our bedroom. I don't know why but I guess it is a place that is most private and hardly anyone sees but us.
The living room stays pretty much straightened up. Except for the dust bunnies and vacuuming. (Man, I have to spell check vacuuming every time I write it down. I always want to put two C's .) What word do you have to spell check the most? Would be interesting to know.
I try to keep my kitchen cleaned as I go. I stopped using the dishwasher. So now my dishes get washed and put up at the same time.
My dining room? Well, that is debatable. Shouldn't be too hard except I brought my sewing machine to the table while I am quilting and sewing for Christmas. If you sew you know what a mess you can make! So I am trying to get some of the mess cleaned up today. Then I will start again.
I have an apron started. I found one that I think my Mom made. It is in one piece. Has an extra piece on the front for three pockets. Made of gingham check. On the gingham check was embroidered butterflies.
I am trying to copy them. I have one wing done. The body is done on the machine with a broad stitch.
I will post it when I get it done.
Guess I need to get up from here and get some more dust bunnies. Or I will never get t the butterfly.

I can only say I understand! When my hubby has time off everything seems to go by the way-side. Not to mention adding on the chore of painting both bathrooms at the same time...wonder who's idea that was?
Yours is the second blog I have read today with a praise/thanksgiving list, it is leading me to something I think. I will see what God does.
Yep, I am smack dab in the middle of returning to my first calling of making a home for my family. Now that the boys have married and moved I am looking to re-do our home for hubby and I and not the comfort of two growing boys to men!
Just had to come by and use "smack dab" for you..LOLOL
ps I just love that picture on you side bar that says Havesting Love, one friend at a time...where did you get it, did you make it, can I use it also?
I sure can relate too sweetie, mine is about the same as yours, our living room stays presentable, under neat lots of hidden dust. Hope your new month and thanks giving time is a very happy one.
Love you my friend, Barbara
Glad you could finally get through on my blog, Ailene. You have a cute place here and I love your quilted pillow cover with the doggy on it.
Also like your post on what I missed out on--or should I say what you didn't miss out on.
Thanks for visiting.
Blessings,
Janis

Although I don't like the cold, I enjoy it when the weather turns cooler. That always encourages me to stay indoors and get some things done that get put on hold throughout the warm months.
I've been doing a lot of dusting and cleaning and 'cozying' up the house lately.
And like you - one of the words I misspell the most is 'vacuuming' - it does seem like it should have that extra 'c' in it doesn't it?
I look forward to seeing your new apron when you get it finished. Your sewing always prompts me to want to get busy making more things too.
Hugs and blessings my friend,
Deb
The word I always struggle with is 'occassion'... see!! I always get it wrong lol.
I am thankful to the Lord for... drum-roll please: spellcheck! haha.
Thanks for stopping by Ailene! I too have trouble spelling vacuum! Love the pink in your blog! Of course that's my favorite color!
I am thankful to have found your blog! =)
Our bedroom and our boys' room (all 5 are in one room) are definitely the ones I don't usually want people to see!
Hi Aliene, Love reading what you are thankful for. Today I personally am very thankful for the election outcomes in our country... Praise be to God.
My house needs cleaning also--and it's not my favorite thing to do. I'd much rather work in the yard than in the house.... Do you want to come and clean up my dust bunnies for me --now that you have had so much experience???????? ha ha
Have a great day.
Hugs,
Betsy
Blessings to you today, I am so glad you found me because I feel blessed to visit with you. I am a quilter and so whatever project I am hand quilting is usually in our family room so I can work on it during the evenings-this is the room that generally is the mesiest.
I think I just spelled that wrong.
Thank you for sharing...
Hugs, Noreen
Hi Aliene, I spell check a lot of words, but can't think of one right now! The room in our house that seems to collect the most mess is the same as yours....our bedroom. It seems that everything that doesn't have a place lands in there until I can find it one. The family room is usually a mess too because that's where the boys play....I try not to go in there too often because when I do I end up cleaning....and barking orders for then to clean up the mess....they'd just as soon I stay out too! LOL
