STAND STILL

Here  it is Monday again.  I have ideas of what I want to do today. Just reporting in to say  we had a good day at church yesterday. Seem to be an encouraging time for the saints.  I am so thankful to be feeling better and able to really  get into the services.

I am going to get into one of my rooms that needs a good cleaning.   While I am cleaning I want to stand still.
Not literally but in my soul.  Yesterday morning three sisters sang a song called  "Stand Still."  Here are the words.  Just think on them.  I know from experience that "standing still" is one of the  hardest things for me to do literally and spiritually.
STAND STILL
The Father has a plan
Though its hard to see it now.
You feel you're walking all alone,
But he is there, no doubt.
When the storm  around you rages
And you're tossed to and fro,
When you're faced with decisions
Not sure which way to go.
Chorus:
Stand still and let God move.
Standing still is hard to do.
When you feel you have reached the end
He'll make a way for you.
Stand still and let God move.

When the enemy surrounds you
And the walls are closing in,
When the tide is swiftly rising,
And you wonder where He's been,
There has never been a moment
When His Arms weren't reaching out,
You can rest assure and be secure
God is moving right now.

Stand still and let God move.
Standing still is hard to do.
When you feel you have reached the end
He'll make a way for you.
Stand still and let god move.

Tag:  The answer will come
But only in His time.

I don't know if I've heard this song, but I like the words. You're right, standing still is hard....but it's the only way to stop doing things for ourselves and let God do the work. We stood still for a very long time, and God finally made the way clear to us and gave us peace and assurance that we were in his will.

Aliene,
This is a beautiful reminder that we all need to quiet our minds and activities and be still before God. And when we've done all we can to stand - STAND.
Hugs and blessings,
Deb

That is one of my favorite scriptures.
